India retained the Blind Cricket World Cup title by defeating arch-rivals Pakistan by two wickets in a thrilling final played at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in UAE on Saturday. Pakistan set a huge 308-run target in 40 overs which India achieved towards the end in a nail-biting finish.
Sunil Ramesh played a great knock of 93. He along with skipper Ajay Tiwari who scored a fine 62, took India to 190/3 after 25 overs. India were 271/4 after 35 overs when Ramesh’s wicket fell. Towards the end, India lost Ajay too and stuttered, but the team held their nerves to emerge as winners.
