Hyderabad will see its first metro train running in November 2017 as the metro rail project is right on schedule. After its initial delay that pushed the inauguration from June to November this year, the HMR is ensuring that the project completes within its deadline this time.
The first phase of the Hyderabad Metro Rail project is a 29 km stretch that will run from Miyapur to LB Nagar for 27 stations. The project is under progress with Larsen and Toubro and is planned to reach a total of 71 km in its final stage. The second and third phase will cover 15 km and 23 km respectively in order to complete the entire project.
The HMR is planning to make the metro stations completely user-friendly by ensuring that the ticketing is undertaken well and there is the availability of feeder bus service from various areas.
The trains will be high frequency and the coaches will have ultra-modern facilities in order to make it a luxury commute. The metro is planned to connect all the major residential areas, offices and important locations by running on elevated tracks.
As the HMR plans on making this a world class project, the launch of Hyderabad metro is highly awaited amongst the locals due to irregular local commute options.
