The Haryana government is all set to issue computerized health cards to its residents. The health card will contain the health data of each individual and it will be linked with unique identification issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India.
Health minister Anil Vij explained that as and when the patient visits a health facility for the second time or goes to another health facility, the card will enable the doctor to access the record of health details of the patient.
Under this project, essential tests will be conducted on each person and its reports will be fed into a computer and uploaded on the health card. A primary health report will be given to the person concerned by the hospital.
The health data of each individual will be preserved in a central server from where it can be accessed by any health facility on the basis of UID of the person concerned.
The health minister added that when a person gets the checkup done, the details e would automatically be linked to the unique health identification number (UHID) of the patient. The results of all tests and OPD or indoor services given to the patient will get linked to the UHID.
