Providing humanitarian aid gives you satisfaction which is unmatched. For 76-year-old, Harjinder Singh, contentment means to offer a helping hand to people. Therefore, he steps out with his auto every day with an urge to provide assistance. If you ever spot his auto in Delhi, you will notice something unusual about it.
Harjinder runs his vehicle as an auto ambulance. He works extra hours just to refuel his auto and go to accident-prone areas in the city to rush the victim to a hospital. And not just that, he has even kept a donation box in his auto and does not even ask money from his passengers to drop them. He uses the donation money to purchase medicines for the victims. He even gives away free diabetes medicines if anybody asks for it as reported by TOI.
Several people die due to road accidents every year for not making it to the hospital on time which bothers Harjinder a lot. Hence, he is doing his part by helping one victim each day.
The septuagenarian didn’t even have any idea about the medicines so he did a course to understand what to give the victim during an emergency. He is an ayurvedic vaidya too so, he uses his knowledge to advise people on how to lead a healthy lifestyle.
We at My Indian Dream respect Harjinder for his philanthropic initiative. May he reaches out to more people as a saviour and keep making a difference.
