Next time you go to visit the Raigad Fort, think twice before you throw that plastic bottle. In a bid to keep the fort area clean, the officials of Raigad fort have taken a noble step. Looking at the amount of plastic bottles lying here and there in the premises of the Raigad Fort, the officials have taken a decision to give brownie points to all those who help to clean the fort.
According to the new move one can give a plastic bottle at a desk set-up and can earn Rupee 1. So, as many plastic bottles as you find, all the bottles can be submitted and Rupee 1 behind every bottle can be earned.
Every year, there are seven-day cleanliness drives that the Raigad office committee organizes but then that happens only in the week and other days the fort is left in the same pathetic condition. To take this cleanliness drive ahead on a daily basis, this move will make sure that the tourist do not throw the waste bottles and make the fort premises dirty at the same time they can earn some money.
It is the equal responsibility of the citizens to keep the historical places clean therefore all the tourists should take this move in a positive way and help the state to keep the fort clean.
Historical forts are the treasures of Maharashtra and it is the need of time to keep them clean and in better condition so that more and more tourists are attracted to visit and know its historical importance.
Surely, a good move to keep the fort areas well maintained.
