In the humble town of Devarakonda, nestled in the heart of Telangana, a spark was born in the form of 17-year-old Kethavath Sravanthi. Daughter of a truck driver and a fruit vendor, Sravanthi’s childhood was marked by struggles most people only read about. Yet, instead of succumbing to her circumstances, she rose above them. 

Forced to leave her private school in Class 5 due to financial constraints, she continued her education at a tribal welfare residential school. There, with limited resources but boundless determination, she planted the seeds of a dream.

And now, that very dream has begun to blossom, Sravanthi scored an astounding 994 out of 1,000 in her Intermediate exams.

Academic Triumphs Amidst Adversity

Sravanthi’s brilliance does not end with a glowing marksheet. She has already cracked the JEE Main with a commendable 79 percentile, earning herself a place in the JEE Advanced, a gateway to her ultimate dream: securing a seat in one of India’s prestigious IITs. 

As a student at a Centre of Excellence school, she immersed herself in studies with a quiet but fierce resolve. Sravanthi hasn’t yet decided which branch of engineering she’ll pursue, but her direction is clear. Every hour of study, every sacrifice, is another step on the road to her dream.

Family: The Pillar of Strength

Behind every successful student is a story of silent warriors, Sravanthi’s family. Her parents, with their weathered hands and selfless love, gave her the strength to persevere. Her father, who drives a truck across long dusty highways, and her mother, who sells fruits to keep meals on the table, have never let their limited income restrict their daughter’s limitless dreams. 

They may not understand the intricacies of IITs or engineering streams, but they understand what it means to believe in someone. Her brother, who appeared for his own Intermediate exams alongside her, remains her greatest cheerleader. Together, they form a small but unshakable team, navigating the tides of poverty with dignity and hope.
