In a heartfelt post, she revealed her gown was hand-stitched with 1,000 meters of fabric in one month ~ She wrote, "Stepping onto the red carpet at the 77th Cannes Film Festival as a debutant feels surreal. I poured my heart and soul into creating this pink gown, which took 30 days, 1000 meters of fabric, and weighed over 20kg. The journey has been intense, but every moment was worth it. I'm overwhelmed with joy and gratitude for the love and support from all of you. This is a dream come true, and I hope my creation dazzles you as much as your support has inspired me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!" she wrote.

Nancy Tyagi, 23, was born in Baranwa village in Uttar Pradesh. She moved to New Delhi in the hope of clearing her UPSC exams. However, the world was hit with lockdown, which allowed Nancy to listen to her heart's calling. The financial difficulties gave Nancy the idea to create fashion from scratch. While she didn't receive instant success, she kept working hard and posting videos of her self-stitched outfits for 1.5 years. Nancy proudly displayed her dress during an interview with Brut, showcasing the enormous amount of work and creativity that went into designing it. Nancy said, "It is my ultimate honor to have been invited to the Cannes Film Festival," while expressing her pleasure and thankfulness at the festival. One of the largest platforms for fashion and culture in the world is this one. This is a girl's wish come true from the little Uttar Pradesh town of Baranwa.Her strong desire to make her family proud and show that no dream is too big or hurdle too insurmountable had motivated her at every turn. She wanted to encourage many more women who, like her, might doubt the possibility of their goals coming true. She believed in never giving up on dreams.Nancy's Cannes debut is more than just a career highlight; for many young girls from comparable circumstances, it is a source of inspiration and hope. Her tale shows that even the most impossible aspirations may come true with perseverance, imagination, and hard work.
