When Nidhi Shankar Reddy came to know about the pathetic condition of the school in which her maid’s son was studying, she decided to help. She saved her pocket money and urged her two brothers and sister to do the same.
Together, the four students of a city school saved around Rs 1.5 lakh and spent it on development work of a government primary school near Kalyan Nagar in Bengaluru.
Thanks to them, the government primary school now has a good toilet facility after it got repaired. The benches and walls of the classrooms have also been painted. The parents came to know about their kind gesture only when the school teachers informed them about it.
