Now Ajmer-Pushkar road will soon boast of a biodiversity park and space will also be reserved for wild animals. The diverse plants which are found on hills and arid zone will be a part of the bio diversity park. The announcement of this park was done by environment and forest Minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar. As the place for this park was undecided the proposal of the park being sanctioned the work on the same was not started. Now, the minister announced the final place of this park will be on Ajmer -Pushkar road near Panchkund. On the lines of Nahargarh in Jaipur and Sajjangarh in Udaipur, the official will be made as per the regulation of central zoo authority and animals will not be kept in cage wherein wild animals can have their personal space. Khimsar said that citizens should understand the importance of forests. Officials also said that this will be constructed in about 75 hectares of land of Mahua Beed forest and will have one kilometer of a walkway with bio-toilets and water harvesting system.
The park is also expected to have beautiful topography and dense forest to attract visitors. The cost of the park will be Rs 1.5 crore.
The minister also inaugurated Herbal Park at Kanas Nadaliya Road of Pushkar. One can see the species of herbal bushes and shrubs in this park. It will not only attract tourists but will also help students who wish to learn about the herbs and its shrubs and bushes. The park is expected to attract foreign tourists too.
