Life comes to a standstill when you lose someone close to your heart forever. Moving on seems difficult and the only thing you wish for during such situations is to see that person alive. But, you heal with time and start leading a normal life like before however, the pain never gets erased completely.
Beth Rowland lost her mother to cancer at the age of 20 which left her shattered. She knows how it feels to lose a close person at a young age. And with an objective to help youngsters who go through the same pain, Beth came up with Let’s Talk About Loss in 2016. A platform to help bereaved people under the age category of 16-30. They organize peer-led meetups in Nottingham, London, and Bristol and through their endeavour, they break the barrier of talking about the loss of losing someone really close.
It’s not always easy to talk about grief as people might not be comfortable to discuss it with others. Let’s Talk About Loss’ meet-up sessions give solace to such individuals when they speak their hearts out about their loss. We hope such initiatives are taken by more people in every part of the world.
