With the nation’s efforts to link all transactions to the Aadhar card, the availability of Aadhar had been questioned a few times by the critics. In a bid to make Aadhar more accessible the state and the central government have been ramping up their efforts. In Osmanabad, a small district in Maharashtra, a baby girl was granted her Aadhar card 6 minutes after her birth.
Bhavna was born in the Osmanabad district women's hospital at 12:03 pm on Sunday. Her parents had enrolled for her Aadhar number prior to her birth and received the birth certificate online. They completed the process and received Bhavna’s Aadhar card at 12:09 pm, making Bhavna the youngest recipient of the Aadhar card. District collector Radhakrushna Game said, "It's a proud moment for Osmanabad. We will soon register all children for Aadhaar and link them with their parents' Aadhaar cards."
Aadhar cards are a mandatory document for various government norms now. It is compulsory to link your Aadhar card to your bank account and mobile number in order to ensure transparency in the system. Looking at these changes, it is a welcome move that Aadhar is being so readily available to the coming generation.
