Jamsenpa started her expedition on May 13 at 1.45 a.m and conquered the peak on May 16 at 9 a.m. She made our nation proud by unfurling our national flag after reaching the summit. The summit expedition commenced after 38 days at the Everest Base Camp spanning from April 4 to May 12. Dalai Lama, Tibetan spiritual leader flagged off her expedition on April 2 from Guwahati in Assam.
She has climbed the Everest thrice. Two of the times she conquered the peak twice within 10 days from May 12 to May 21, 2011. The third successful climb was on May 18, 2013. Now she is thinking of further planning her fifth expedition to the world’s highest peak.
The mountaineer interacted via satellite phone as she reached the summit post the unfurling of the National flag and clicked pictures. She has also spoke to the officials when she was at the base camp.
As of now, she is descending to the base camp. She is said to be very healthy and fit. India is proud of her!
