It was nothing short of magic for a stranded family in Scotland when the vehicle that came to their rescue was the train that took Harry Potter to school – Hogwarts Express. In the Harry Potter movie, Hogwarts Express was played by the Jacobite steam train, which runs on a remote and scenic route through the Scottish Highlands.
A family of six were stranded when their canoe got washed away in a storm on Friday. Jon Cluett, his wife and four children between the ages of 6 and 12 spent the night in a lakeside hut on Loch Eilt. When they awoke, they found that their canoe was missing and thought that it must have got washed away.
Hoping against all odds, Cluett called the police and informed them about their problem. He was assured by the police that the next train passing by had been arranged to stop for them. He also informed that it was the Hogwarts Express and that his kids were going to love it.
Cluett’s children are all Harry Potter fans and their joy knew no bounds when they got a ride on the Express. They were really excited by the adventure.
