Won’t it sound exciting if someone decides to pay for your lawn? The state of Minnesota is ready to offer the same to its homeowners if they want their lawn to be an ideal place for the bees to buzz.
It has been said that the homeowners will get reimbursement from Minnesota’s board of water and soil resources in order to plant Dutch white clover, self-heal and creeping thyme so that the bees buzz around them.
The state will provide one-year funding of $900,000 to save the bee habitat in Minnesota. A graduate student, James Wolfin who works at the University of Minnesota’s Bee Lab told CBS Minnesota that he sees forage for pollinators in the flowers. He also told the television station: “We want you to still be able to have that family picnic, we want you to be able to have a catch on the lawn and we want you to put a little bit of food there to support the pollinators.”
How often do we think of the habitats in our ecology? The beauty of our surroundings will enhance if we do so.
