Albert Bringas worked as a mechanic at Renown Auto Restoration in Texas. He was planning to retire in 2020 after working for six more months so that he could pay off his mortgage.
Bringas’ boss Rudy Quinones knew that he wanted to retire. Bringas had been with him for 13 years and he has always proved to be a very good worker. However, the job demanded a certain level of physicality which Quinones knew Bringas is finding hard to keep up owing to his age.
The kind boss asked Bringas whether he would retire if his mortgage was taken care of. Bringas couldn’t believe his ears. Bringas told the Washington Post that his boss was really serious and he did want to pay off the rest of the mortgage that Bringas owed.
A week later Quinones paid off the remaining amount of the loan which was taken 24 years ago. Bringas retired from his work but not before showering praise on his employer. Bringas said that Quinones has a big heart and if anyone is down on their luck and needs a loan, Quinones always helps them out.
It was indeed the kind gesture from Quinones that helped Bringas to retire from his long and dedicated service of 13 years.
