Carlos Alcaraz, beaming with pride, declares that he hopes to go down as one of the all-time greats. With his victory over seven-time champion Novak Djokovic on Sunday, the Spaniard won his second consecutive Wimbledon title 6-2, 6-2, 7-6 (4), bringing his total of grand slam victories to four before turning 22. "It's a great start to my career, but I need to keep working hard," Alcaraz said.
Alcaraz is just the sixth player in the Open era to win both Wimbledon and Roland Garros in the same year. He now stands among Djokovic, Rod Laver, Rafael Nadal (twice), Björn Borg (twice), and Roger Federer. Being the winner of both the French Open and Wimbledon in the same year is an incredible feeling, as very few players have ever accomplished it, Alcaraz added. It's astounding. ''I try to remember that I had won Wimbledon twice and attempt to have the same sense of satisfaction as I had the previous year.''

“I have to keep building my path. At the end of my career, I want to sit at the same table as the big guys. That’s my main goal. That’s my dream right now. It doesn’t matter if I already won four grand slams at the age of 21. If I don’t keep going, all these tournaments for me, it doesn’t matter. I really want to keep going. I will try to keep winning and end my career with a lot of them.”
Alcaraz stated he hasn't decided how many slams he wants to win. "I'm not sure what my limit is. I'd rather not give it any thought. All I want is to continue living in the now and dreaming. So let's see if it will be 25, 30, 15, 4, or something else at the conclusion of my career. I'm not sure. All I want to say is that I want to continue having fun and wait to see what the future holds." The two-time champion claimed that he profited from Djokovic's subpar play in the opening two sets. It goes without saying that I was a perfect fit. Clearly, Novak made a lot of mistakes in the first two sets and wasn't at his best. I made the most of that.”Alcaraz has now won two of the year’s three grand slam men’s singles titles, the world No 1 Jannik Sinner winning the other, and the Spaniard said he relishes the rivalry. “I think being with Jannik, 21 years old, 22, 23 years old in the top of the ranking, winning the grand slams, I think it is good for tennis to have new faces winning the big things and fighting for the big tournaments. “I’m really glad to have him there. As I said many times, we have a really good rivalry, as young players that are coming up, fighting for these things as well. I think it’s great for the sport, for tennis and I think for the players, as well.”
Alcaraz claims that more can be done to make things better. He thinks that at this level, his forehand can be improved. Every year ought to be more superior. at last, he also believes that he can handle the scenarios and generally improve his game.He have to continue maturing and becoming better than before!
