Numerous villages in India still do not have access to basic facilities and electricity is one of them. But, with time things are taking a different turn. Happiness had no bounds for the residents of Jhamjad Pada, Gorai the day electrification got completed in the hamlet. It feels like someday our country will be way ahead when such changes come into the picture. Akansha Singh is one such individual who is determined to alter the conditions in villages.
It’s not possible to understand the root of a problem until and unless someone witnesses it. Likewise, Akansha figured out how people in rural areas survive without electricity once she started working in the villages.
Access to lack of electricity in remote areas started bothering Akansha a lot owing to which she thought of making a difference. The idea of providing a better life to the villagers gave rise to Swayambhu Innovative Solutions Pvt. Ltd, a platform to convert waste into a useful resource.
Through Swayambhu, Akansha generates bio-energy in the villages. A community is linked to CBP (Community Biogas Plant) and right from farm waste to domestic and livestock waste, everything is used to create bio-energy.
The primary objective of Swayambhu is to make the villagers independent when it comes to manure, energy, and bio-pesticide. Akansha has done her Masters in Social Entrepreneurship from Tata Institute of Social Sciences. Her brainchild, Swayambhu has been recognized by many national and international platforms and we hope she ameliorates the state of several other villages through it.
